They've had a couple of hit songs, but they haven't been their best, or their
most beloved by fans.
Radiohead is sort of in the universe of a band like Pink Floyd. Never the biggest band of their time, but loved by their fan base who love them for being experimental and eccentric. Couple of hits break through, but the hits are not the songs that the fan base really loves.
