i think the fact that it isn't ubiquitous kind of raises the appeal a little.
at least for me. ford is probably never going to try to sell me a truck using a radiohead song. you sort of get to discover it on your own (even tho it is HUGELY popular).
and i'll say this, people on CB think radiohead is this hipster band that dudes with comically large glasses that drink locally brewed beer out of mason jars pretend to like to be cool. that may have been the case in like 2004, but now radiohead is waaaaay to mainstream for real hipsters.
