My partially subsidized car insurance premium stopped the moment I turned 18 and
moved out of the house. My parents never payed a dime toward my cell phone either (though I didn't get my first cell phone until I was home from my mission.) It's crazy to me parents still pay for things when their kids leave the house and go to college, but to each their own.

I have a buddy who, while he and his wife were in college, was raking in $400 / mo from his parents and $1000 / mo from her parents. Nuts.
