People have hoped for it because of his dad, but he recently brought up big name schools and never even mentioned BYU. Wasn't until the guy asked him if BYU or Utah stood a chance. He mentions some things might open his eyes for staying in state, but that he never wanted to stay in state from the beginning. Obviously the dad thing is likely the draw, but other than that I don't think he's high on BYU. They might not even make his top 5. And if so, probably throws them in because of his dad. Probably comes down to Stanford, UCLA, and either someone like Oregon, ND, or Washington.

Being BYU's to lose was always just a wish from fans.
