Say Taysom starts and BYU wins 10, Tanner starts and wins 9. Is there a drastically different outcome THIS year? Nope. But Taysom's gone next year and value to the PROGRAM to have Tanner start this year and progress over following 2yrs IS the best option. Unless Taysom somehow Finds a way to play in 2017 we have a qb who's essentially reverting back to where he was at start of last year. Watching the game helps him improve but sitting for a year makes that benefit minimal. With Tanner we could have a good ur this ur and an elite ye after that.
