Makes sense but if there is a 27-month notice that means there is a deadline and

perhaps that deadline has already passed. Maybe it's not July 1st but was in March or something, so the Big 12 is not stressing to add teams until prior to the next deadline in March of 2017. Could be a possibility...who knows.

All I know is that I really want to see BYU in P5 conference. This 6-year expansion saga has been decidedly un-fun.
