Nobody is saying he's stupid, but we have seen plenty of JC players who
were all-american's, etc. over the years come in and if not struggle, take some time to learn the system. Ideally that's why you want JC kids who are eligible to come in at the semester break and are here to participate in spring ball as that is when much of that learning curve can hopefully be addressed rather than in the fall when you're trying to solidify starting spots and implementing specific game plans as the opener approaches. Tougher to come in new in the fall and do what Jonah will need to do than in the spring. And that's the only point being made - that he will have a very short window to learn the offense and get sufficient reps in order to be in a position to significantly contribute starting in game one.
