or to be interviewed, why would he? He is probably getting 100+ requests per day from reporters and can pick and choose the ones he wants to talk to. Some are more valuable to talk to than others, trammel is one of the ones that actually has some value.

So of the 100's of requests Tom is getting he decides to return the request of maybe the one media guy outside of Dick Harmon that has been on the BYU to the Big 12 cheerleading bus for the last several. The guys happens to be at a car rental counter on an obviously long planned vacation and some around here see that as a sign BYU isn't getting into the BIG 12.

Relax, seriously, relax. BYU is either already in or they aren't, there isn't much to decide on this. The BIG 12 either takes the far and away best candidate out there or they don't.

Tom Holmoe cannot just shut himself away for the next few days, weeks, or months, however long the process lasts. He needs to make a statement here and there, confirm "interest" and involvement in the process, and grant a few interviews on the subject.

More interesting to me than anything else is the lack of a Dick Harmon article on this subject. No one has mentioned Dick's complete and total silence about this, in fact I'm going to start a thread on that subject.
