In one big way, it is not the same as 2011.
In 2011, the B12 had lost Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Texas A&M, and had to add 2 just to get back to 10.
In 2016, it is a financial decision to get to 12, not a reactionary one, they they took more time to look at actual financials before moving forward. Had they done that in 2011 as well, I think the outcome would have been different.
So this time, it is better business.
