I've been reading cougarboard for years and only recently created an account because I found myself spending far too much time lately on cougarboard (probably like many of you) and I wanted to merely share some thoughts from a trusted be BYU admin. Take it for what it's worth but I'm far from a Ute and I'm definitely not trolling. I'm hoping they meet with the Big 12 this week but as of a couple of days after Big 12 media days they had not and that's a fact. That makes sense, think about it. If you're the Big 12 you have no need to contact schools until you've vetted out the process fully and if they only got the go ahead to explore expansion publicly on Tuesday it's going to take some time to contact each candidate and begin negotiations. Doesn't mean BYU won't get in-to the contrary I believe they will get in. Just don't expect an announcement this week.
