that if more attention is being paid to the "politics" you mentioned, which I believe it is based off recent comments, then those other factors that favor BYU won't matter as much, and the ones that don't, like geography, no sunday play, etc become much bigger deals (big enough to be used as an excuse for a deal breaker). I think BYU is in pole position as well, but too many instances in the past where less qualified teams get in for political reasons. Ala, Utah, TCU, Baylor, the AZ schools into the PAC etc.
