That answer basically says "we may get in or we may not get in" which I think is a true statement given the entire process. If no formal vote has occurred - WHICH HAS BEEN VERIFIED - then no invitations have gone out and anything could happen. This doesn't mean no informal polling of the presidents hasn't happened, it just means nothing is final, and until it is final, things really are 50-50.
