If it was just on stats base on these numbers for a first year QB. I would make him my starter. Playing QB it's more than being the best athlete. It's about mechanics, can you make the short pass or long pass. Dropping back and staying in the pocket making that tough throw when you are about to get hit. Look dude I know Taysom is a great athlete and probably one of the best to come through BYU. I get that. I also get that people want him to start. It's fine. I am sure he has improved. If you are simply going to base Hill as a great athlete then no he is not a starting for BYU in my opinion.

At the end of the day. I want taysom to play great a win. While Taysom is recovering tanner was working on his mechanics. "Roth said this week he put all the QBs through a pro day script. It was 20 throws in seven minutes and they were “catalogue graduate level type throws,” not just a three-step slam and throw exercise.
“We started there, then brought a variety of route combinations into the scheme and he did fine. Tanner is 6-3 and when he’s through he’ll be 225 to 230. He’ll kill it with the testing and will kill it in the room with the GM’s and coaches. This is a guy with an NFL caliber ceiling. At the end of the day he’ll be a premiere QB in the country.”

At the end of the day Tanner became the starter. He practice with the first team and played every Saturday. It was his position to lose. Myself or you didn't see them practice. We hope they made the right choice. Go Cougs!
