TFL 3rd String
Just the opposite
You said they had TONS of unknowns. And it reallly boils down to replacing 3 starters. Booker was phenomenal. You can't replace him. Williams is good though and McCormick was solid in the 2014 bowl. They'll be solid. We've already seen plenty from them.

Wilson was horrific. It's not to improve from him. He benefited tremendously from Booker and still couldn't make a play unless his first read was open. What you don't see on the statistics is the overwhelming number of wasted plays, bad runs, ill-advised sacks, etc. There's a reason Hackett was on the field so often despite a fantastic run game.

Lutui wasn't that great. There wouldn't have been any competition in the first place. Bolles was promised a job. So essentially we're moving a 2nd team All-Pac OT to Center and replacing him with him with one of the highest touted OL JUCO recruits. We'll be fine.

Utah loses WR yards but Tim Patrick was solid as a starter in 2014 and better than KScott. Tyrone Smith is a returning starter as a true frosh last year and can only improve. Covey was special. He'll be missed. But Fulks will be a solid starter.

I don't see much reason to panic nor are their tons of unknowns. Most important, UU has a very legitimate DL. So when the coaches put together an OL group that battles a strong DL and performs well -- there isn't much to worry about. The same can be said about WRs and a QB throwing against a solid secondary. I'll trust the coaches judgment. Two years ago coming out of camp they said Booker was special. Last year they said the same about Covey. I don't think they're making things up. I think they know what qualifies as competent play.

UU offense will be fine. Comparable to last year and certainly better than the final 3 games -- post-Booker.
