I don't understand the "keep the ball out of the other teams hands. Isn't it
more important that we score on a high % of drives than how long the drives are? Assuming an even turn-over margin, the winner is who converts more possessions into points. If we slowly and methodically have 60 yard drives that end in field goals while they convert 50% of drives in touchdowns we lose.
Whether fast or slow, we just need to score on possessions.
