I also should clarify, I don't do contracts. I may do it with the internet only thing to save money, but I generally hate those stupid 1 or 2 year agreements. Its one of the main reasons I have cable as opposed to dish or DirecTV. FYI, our family uses T-Mobile for much the same reason. We are not locked in. And best part is that T-Mo is cheaper than Verizon or AT&T.

The other reason I will never have DirecTV every again is because I had to pay $200 for my DVR thing that i had at my house, but when I cancelled I had to give it back. They told me I paid $200 for the right to use the machine, but that i did not own it. Didn't read the fine print. But it was infuriating.
