So at the beginning of the year if you were told we would be 8-4 how would you have felt about that??
If I had told you we would be 4-4 after the first 4 how would you have felt? Now it isn't good enough? What??
You see the problem is that folks around here love to live in this fantasy world where they know exactly how things would be if only the coaches did what they (the fans) want them to do. There are folks who will post til their fingers are bloody stumps telling us that we would be undefeated right now if we only would play our second string QB (unfortunately there is no way they can know that). Last year we had all of the "bag heads" who were so embarrassed by a team that got shut out and blown away by a great Michigan team, yet when we are in EVERY game this year that has gone down to the wire, and we had the ball in hand to win each of those games as time wound down, those same fans are whining that this coaching staff obviously doesn't know what they are doing because they won't change quarterbacks.
Now, BYU just played their most difficult opponent of the year, and lost by 1 point. They have played a top 20 difficult schedule. They have a new coaching staff where the three major positions are filled with men who have NEVER held that position before. We are in games and we are learning a great deal about this team. I love their fight and I love the excitement.
By the way, your comment... Riley Nielson?? Really? please tell me where you see this team is the same as that situation was.
