"If only the coaching staff made this call instead!" "If only the kicking team could block!" All of this is counterfactual reasoning, i.e. not based in reality.

Boise State arguably has way more 'if only's. 5 turnovers. Couldn't capitalize on the gift we gave on that fake punt. And so on.

If you think we were overall the better team and deserved the win, then I gotta say I disagree. We got outplayed. Boise deserved the win. They are a good team. Our guys made some big plays and gave us a chance at the end. We almost pulled it off. But Boise made some plays. We missed on a couple. C'est la vie.
