BSU is no UofU
We have been to all the away games this year and will be in Cinncinati in two weeks. BSU fans were curtious and good sports. From all the smack on CB I expected to walk in a rice eccels scene. Just the opposite. Sitting around us were local BSU fans with their BYU friends. Both sides enjoyed smack talking the other with clever humour. all in good spirits. It was one of the most pleasureable games we've been to.

Here is another indication of the respect: we were dining before the game at Chandlers in downtown Boise and were seated next to a former Boise player (2003-2004) with his wife and friends. We had a great conversation about the growing rivalry. He said the BSU fan base respects BYU and appreciates the long term schedule together because of the quality of the game and its affect on their RPI. They obviously want to win but they want BYU have a great season as well. It was a terrific exchange. At the end of the meal our server told us that the BSU table had paid for our meal (not inexpensive). I came away with a whole new respect.

Michigan State fans were pretty similar with great respect for BYU.
