I spent about 5 months studying for the GMAT
and averaged about 20 hours a week. It was brutal. I used the Manhattan books to understand the principles and then practiced the Official guide problems multiple times.

But to be honest, I really started to improve when I started attending the temple on a weekly basis. I'm convinced that that was integral to reaching the score I got. If you're LDS with a temple recommend and not already doing so, then attending the temple on a weekly basis can only help.
