The NCAA is getting involved in LGBT stuff and byu needs a good attorney to make sure the wording is as non discriminatory as possible. If not that could really be the end of byu sports when the NCAA looks at enforcement of non discrimination protection for athletes. Remember that discrimination would be enforced based on the federal government liberal interpretation. Byu likely can no longer just relay on first amendment protection.
Also apart from thst potential hornet nest, the term "homosexual behavior" as currently written in the HC is vague and needs refreshing. It's not hard for me to understand why it's offensive to LGBT and perhaps byu can change the language so that is less abrupt while still not allowing LGBT PDA?
For the record, I also favor a HC clause for rape amnesty so that is clear and also more compliant with Title IX. Rights of potential rape victims outweighs rights of potential liars. Let Jesus or the criminal system sort that out.
Update: looks like byu has done that so bravo.
