BYU is already in a contract with ESPN and the network has been broadcasting most of its home games. BYU has never been in the B12 and there are way more competing interests within the B12 than there are between BYU and ESPN.

BYU fills a good niche. Cheaper than P5 games and more eyeballs than G5 games.
