scared there for a few games, like it was Carlino 2.0. Carlino had tons of talent, and to me was the absolute key to BYU's team his last year. Not that he was our best player in all areas, but when he did well, BYU was very hard to beat. He could do so many things well - was really smart, competitive, skilled ballhandler, good vision and passer, and great shooter (when taking good shots), fiesty on defense, had the swagger needed to come through in the clutch, and could be a good leader. But, IMO, he just couldn't keep his ego in check well enough to be a true leader and team player. I'm optimistic that Bryant turns out much better on team play issues, and proves my initial doubting self dead wrong.
