Back in college my bunkmate and I were just settling down for bed. I felt some enormous pressure but it felt like almost entirely air. I was on the lower bunk and figured it had a lot more bark than bite so I let it go. 4 seconds later something that my roommate to this day 10 years later still refers to as "the incident" happened. Amazingly loud with the echo on the walls.
