Amazing how little everyone thinks of the WCC. The WCC is seen as a crap conference with 2 other good teams and the rest being trash. If we lose to Pepperdine, it is a horrible loss and we have no business losing to them. I see this same attitude with the players. They walk into the small "high school" gym and automatically think they should be better than the other team. They are not mentally prepared. Very sad to see.

News flash: The WCC has been consistently ranked ahead of the MWC since BYU has left. The WCC consistently ranks as the #9 or #10 conference according to conference RPI (http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology/conference/rpi/1996-97). There are a few years of the WAC days in there, and the WAC ranked almost the exact same as the WCC does now. Stop pretending like we played in the ACC or some other amazing conference. The conference we play in now is almost exactly the same as what we have always played in.

In fact, the best conference BYU ever played in was the MWC during Dave Rose's best years. So Dave Rose had his BEST years against the BEST competition BYU ever played against.
