I was by myself by a bay in Alaska on a beautifully sunny day (super rare in Ketchikan) waiting for a float plane. The serenity was incredible in and of itself, and then a humpback whale surfaced about 100 feet from where I was sitting. I watched him cruise around for about 20 minutes. It was pretty cool.
