You're crazy if you think poor people are going to let an account build up with thousands of dollars in it. They're not. The same way food stamps are abused. The solution is to keep it exactly how it is. A cash refund given to the poor who qualify.

That whole video covers my exact feelings on EIC (he calls it negative income tax, but that's EIC). It's needed. It's moral. Changing what is paid out only makes it less efficient which is counter to the entire goal of the program.
