My gas heater turns on for about 30 seconds then turns off. Thermostat's set at 68 but the house is 65 degrees right now. Any suggestions on how to fix it or do I need to call an expert?

There might be a switch that won't let it turn on with the cover open. Find it and keep it depressed.
