You could argue that we helped Gonzaga
Yes, we likely cost them a number 1 seed -- but in all honesty, there is little difference between a 1 and a 3 (at least per statistics). Instead, Gonzaga learned several things that they need to work on, as they will be in close games down the stretch in the next couple of weeks.
