Flagrant doesn't mean violent. It means he didn't make a play on the ball

Which is the case here. Mike got kicked so he was out of position to make a play on the ball, so he just grabbed Karno's arm. I think partly out of frustration and he was getting tired. None the less, it was a foul and not a play in the ball, so it is a flagrant foul.
