That's because NO ONE predicted

Michigan State to be 3-9 and

Mississippi State to be 5-7 and

UCLA to be 4-8 and

Arizona to be 3-9 and

Cincinnati to be 4-8 and

Utah State to be 3-9.

If you had known these things in advance, OF COURSE you'd have expected at least eight wins with a senior QB, senior RB and the talent BYU had on defense.

This season was fine, but nothing special, nothing great. We will not remember this one in 10 years.

I am fine with people being happy about the 2016 season. Just don't try to tell me it was an incredible success.
