I think this team is being coached to pack the paint (pack line principles?) and close out on perimeter shooters. Seems like an awful idea in this perimeter happy conference. Seems like a defensive scheme designed to give up open 3-pt looks. But yes, it sure seems like he could anticipate the skip pass a little better.
