Actually, I know for a fact they don't. A couple of down years for a
consistently good program does not make them a "cupcake" permanently, at least not yet. None of their conference mates consider them to be cupcakes, especially on the road, guaranteed.
In fact, as bad as they've been the last couple of years, ECU beat NC State last year and Virginia Tech the year before. Both of them at home, of course.
