BYU will be fine if Mika leaves
Obviously I hope he stays, and I actually think there is a good chance he stays. However if he does go I don't think that means the team will be in bad shape next year.

I fully expect Haws and Childs to make pretty significant improvements this next season. Also, if Bryan is healthy he will be much improved too. So I think with the improvements of Haws, Childs and Bryant that one should expect, that could ease some of the burden of losing Mika. I think many fans see the team as it was this year and think how bad the team would have been without Mika, yes, that is true, but it won't be the same team, the players I mentioned should be much improved. Not to mentioned we will have our stretch 4 with ZS, most people saw that was one of the biggest issues with this team. So we lose Mike but gain a pretty dang good stretch 4. I'd probably start Dastrup in Mika's place and bring ZS off the bench, but our best line up would be Haws, Emery, Bryant, ZS & Childs. Childs is plenty capable of playing the 5 vs most teams on the schedule, vs teams like SM and Gonzaga we would have to play another big with Childs a lot more. I think ZS makes a huge difference, he is a "great" 3pt shooter, he will spread the floor and create spacing, the offense should flow much better even without Mika. I think the team has a chance to be better even if Mika leaves. Hopefully he comes back, and we could be really good!
