This is not accurate. Cabins are very nice, and I'd love to have one, but it is not the same experience as
..camping. A cabin is in a fixed location (I'm assuming you don't have multiple cabins around). You go to the cabin, you are right there in a fun area, but it is the same fun area every time. And, some of the things I mentioned we like to do, like getting to know people from all over, just doesn't happen in a cabin.
Now, if you had said an RV rather than a cabin, you'd be right. With an RV, you can go just about everywhere, and do most of the things I mentioned in my post. But, I also love backpacking too, which gives me the ability to go to backcountry places where no RV or cabin will allow.
