But at the same time, it too often results in confidence betrayed and devoid of nuance (e.g. "but he has dyslexia" versus "what a moron, can he even read LOL"). If the NFL and teams were serious about respecting confidentiality, it might be different.

There also seems to be little evidence of correlation between scores and ultimate longevity in the league. The HOF has tons of guys who scored poorly and there are tons of smart players who don't make it. It's obviously more complicated than that, but the best indicator of future success has to be how well you played in college, how athletic you are, and how well you understand the game, which is better figured out through film and interview. I just don't see essentializing people's intellect to a single score based on a 12-minute test as a meaningful data point compared to everything else a team has to look at and ask about. Not in the current, leak and mock -prone environment, anyway. How many other jobs ask for an IQ test?
