I don't run for my work at all so there is no need for a 40, a football player has to use his brain to play football, understand play design, be able to quickly think during a 5 second play and adjust to the defense or an audible. a 12 minute test vs. a 5 second play is an eternity. There is an actual reason that these billionaire owners and coaches etc. want to continue to use the wonderlic and don't use the same insane logic as anonymous message board users like us.

the wonderlic is used in many many professions as well to test cognitive and reasoning skills (something that might be useful in the NFL)
