I have no problem offering "hidden gems." But I think this situation is

different. LSU and Texas were actively recruiting this kid for a long time. But over time they cooled and are no longer recruiting him.

This looks like a case where some of the big name schools were interested in an 8th and 9th grader because he was so much bigger and stronger than everyone else, but then the kid didn't develop, so they pulled their offers.
