It can't be overstated how much impact winning in-state recruiting.
I've said this numerous times here on the board. Kalani is setting things up very nicely for himself.

If you look at this last recruiting class, check out how he did with "traditional" Ute High Schools:

Aldon Tofa -- West Jordan
Langi Tuifua -- Bingham
Tongi Langi -- Bingham
Khyris Tonga -- Granger
Lorenza Fauatea -- Hunter
Ben Bywater -- Olympus (middle ground HS, players go both ways)

*** Transfers***
Ula Tolutau -- East
Joe Tukuafu -- East
AJ Lolohea -- West

The biggest stumbling block we have had recently is that BYU hasn't been perceived as a "cool" place. If Kalani can continue to win the in-state recruiting he will change the perception of BYU in the eyes of these kids and BYU will once again be very desirable place.

I know it is just one season for him (not a large sample size), but the future is certainly bright.
