I thought about that, and maybe you are right.
At the same time, I'm not sure improved mechanics and training will be enough for me. I watch football for the athleticism and raw violence that the bodies on the field experience. I figured that as long as everyone was pretty evenly matched on the playing field, I'd remain interested. But I don't know if genetics will give me that entertainment in women's football.

I'm not trying to be sexist here, either. I actually like women's soccer more than men's, because the flopping tactics aren't so extreme, and I think scoring opportunities are more common in women's soccer. I don't find myself bored while watching. But I wonder if the fact that the sports I watch the most (basketball and football) are so saturated with male talent and so infused with extreme athleticism that watching women play in those two sports feels like comedy hour.
