The east/west sides are not exactly the same. When they added the end zone
seating they lowered the field, if I remember right, by about 4.5 feet and added a few rows at the bottom of the east/west sides. Interesting side notes. The Church knows how to write a contract. There was only about a nine month window to renovate and add the end zone seating so the Church had a clause in the construction contract that penalized the company a certain dollar amount for each day of delay (after a set date) in completion of the contract. There was also a huge bonus clause if they completed it on time. Utah did a minor expansion that same year and there was much talk in the off-season about having to move games to Utah because there was no way our expansion was going to be completed. In the end, our stadium was completed on time and theirs wasn't. Also, one worker was killed after a 30 ft. fall, I think from the north end zone. That same day a skydiver who jumped from 10,000 ft. had a chute that failed to open, but he landed flat in some mud flats in western Utah and lived, highly injured but alive.
