I think his arm in that game is over-hyped. His legs were still what opened
things up for him that game. He definitely looked a lot more shaky coming outa the gates last year, though. I imagine the injuries were in his head just as much as the new system.
All things considered, Taysom did okay considering all that was on his plate. That simply was not a system he was gonna thrive in relative to Anae's taylor-made spread attack. There were gonna be growing pains--particularly in Detmer's first year calling the shots.
As disappointed as I got with Taysom's decision-making & limited arm last season, it was why--after I cooled down--I was fully behind the coaches going again with him the next week.
