....lifestyle choice for him and his family at the time. If Ty wanted to be working in the NFL he'd have a career going strong. He's just a private person who gave a lot of time away from his family for 14 yrs as an NFL backup. His learning curve isn't the same as most other high school coaches.
Yes, he had things to learn last year and there will be things to learn this year (a good OC always should be learning their craft and adjusting to the moves their opposing teams make) but it doesn't make sense to compare him to a typical high school coach when he's not typical.
There was nothing wrong with last year's offense that a little experience and the right personnel in place wouldn't fix.
