1) Vegas has BYU's over-under set at 10 wins. A 10-3 season likely means finishing ranked. People way smarter (at predicting sporting events at least) and way more motivated to be accurate, essentially believe BYU will finished the season ranked.

2) Great defense prevents serious upsets by the inferior teams on BYU's schedule. BYU will be 8-0 in those contests.

3) Great Defense and mediocre offense keeps games close and wins its share. No team will blow out BYU (with the possible exception of some 4th qtr TDs by LSU). That means only a couple TDs are needed from the offense to come away with a victory. I think BYU beats BSU, Utah and/or Miss St and keeps Wisconsin close.
