If you liked it, check out The Commitments. It's about the formation of a working class soul band in Dublin. It's more realistic and has better actors and performers (the lead singer is really good). It also has Colm Meaney, who is great in everything, though his role here is small. It's rated R for language but IIRC there's no nudity or violence beyond a few punches. Sing Street is like a teenage version of The Commitments.
