Millennials in the classroom
It is the same story in the college classroom.

In 2004 when I started teaching - in a class of 30 students I usually had:
about 6 really good students - great communicators, problem solvers, confidence, leaders, great attitude and work ethic. I knew they were going to succeed no matter what path they chose.
about 6 terrible students - were terrible at all of the above - especially attitude and self confidence.
about 18 middle of the road students - Usually had a good attitude and willing to learn the skills they lacked.

In 2017:
about 3 really good students
about 20 terrible students
about 7 middle of the road students

I would say the shift started to change around 2012.
