Culturally, Europeans have seemed to not have a strong work ethic. They have a holiday for everything. Social programs are out of control and tax rates show it. Godlessness is rampant.
Over the last 10-15 years, the trend has come to America. More and more people seem to lack a work ethic and are giving up their faith left and right. One can argue if that is more pronounced in a certain age group, but all ages seem to ask, "what is in it for me" versus looking for a solution for the greater good.
I don't think it is a coincidence that social media and interaction has BOOMED. I don't know if it was inevitable to follow Europe or if social media has accelerated all of this. Looking at the generation debate on CB is a microcosm of it all. Pointing the finger at everyone else.
It is the age of narcissism...and it isn't a good thing.
