How do hockey players fare? What about soccer players or wrestlers? And how has it progressed over time? FB and Hockey have better helmets, has it helped? Soccer players have a lot softer ball than they used to, has that helped?

I know it's heresy, but I'm not opposed to dramatic changes to the sports we love to protect the noggin. soccer doesn't really need two dudes flying blindly into other, elbows high, to try and head a ball kicked from 40 yds away.
