It's plausible that women's soccer is a better comparison. In the US (where FB
is played) top tier male athletes generally don't participate. It's a second tier sport for men. It's a top tier sport for women. It's not fair to compare the data of a bunch of beta males with a bunch of alphas.
Given that soccer may attract more alpha females, it's a question that deserves more research.
