Detmer is filling the QB larder at BYU. Hopefully gone are the days that BYU only has one QB per class and gets caught starting a walk on QB. I want a return to the days when the back up BYU QB was better than any starter BYU faced all season. QBs will get hurt, and you want to have talented depth that is ready to step in and produce at a moment's notice. Remember, Gifford Nielsen went down with injury. Jim McMahon went down with injury. Robbie Bosco almost went down with injury. Taysom went down with injuries. Riley went down with injuries. Gotta have multiple quality QBs in the bull pen.
